چکیده

We describe a construction of LR-spaces whose bases are composed of locally linearly independent B-splines which also form a partition of unity. The construction conforms to given refinement requirements associated to subdomains. In contrast to the original LRpaper (Dokken et al., 2013) and similarly to the hierarchical B-spline framework (Forsey and Bartels, 1988) the construction of the mesh is based on a priori choice of a sequence of nested tensor B-spline spaces.

Hierarchical 2D Mesh Design and Compression for Video

This paper introduces two-dimensional (2D) hierarchical, content-based mesh modeling and compression for interactive digital video processing. The hierarchical nature of the mesh model enables diierent users to employ diierent meshes of varying level of detail to represent the same content depending on the computational resources and channel bandwidth that are available. In particular , a new m...

A Versatile Strategy for the Implementation of Adaptive Splines

This paper presents an implementation framework for spline spaces over T-meshes (and their d-dimensional analogs). The aim is to share code between the implementation of several spline spaces. This is achieved by reducing evaluation to a generalized Bézier extraction. The approach was tested by implementing hierarchical B-splines, truncated hierarchical B-splines, decoupled hierarchical B-splin...

Zipper: A compact connectivity data structure for triangle meshes

We propose Zipper, a compact representation of incidence and adjacency for manifold triangle meshes with fixed connectivity. Zipper uses on average only 6 bits per triangle, can be constructed in linear space and time, and supports all standard randomaccess and mesh traversal operators in constant time. Similarly to the previously proposed LR (Laced Ring) approach, the Zipper construction reord...

Modified Fixed Grid Finite Element Method in the Analysis of 2D Linear Elastic Problems

In this paper, a modification on the fixed grid finite element method is presented and used in the solution of 2D linear elastic problems. This method uses non-boundary-fitted meshes for the numerical solution of partial differential equations. Special techniques are required to apply boundary conditions on the intersection of domain boundaries and non-boundary-fitted elements. Hence, a new met...

Assessment of the Risk of Individual and Occupational Factors Affecting the Causes of Occupational Accidents in the Construction Industry Using the Fuzzy Hierarchical Analysis Approach: A Case Study in Kurdistan Province, Iran

Background and Aim: Based on the Iranian Social Security Organization statistics, in 2012 the accidents occurring in the construction industry accounted for 26% of all the occupational accidents in the country. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the individual and occupational risk factors affecting the causes of occupational accidents in this industry using the fuzzy hierarchical ...
